
Here is a traditional yet irreplaceable cookie recipe. It is perfect for when you're throwing a party or you can freeze the dough and bake it as needed; since this recipe makes about 3 dozen cookies. It is also very healthy and in my opinion a better alternative to the chocolate chip cookie recipe.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 Cup Butter (Or 6 Tbsp)
- 2 Eggs
- 3/4 Cup Firmly Packed Brown sugar
- 1/2 Granulated Sugar
- 1 1/2 Cups All Purpose Flour
- 3 Cups Quaker Oats (uncooked)
- 1 Cup raisins
- 1 Tsp Baking Powder
- 1 Tsp Ground Cinnamon
- Heat Oven to 350F. In Bowl, beat softened butter, salt and sugar.
- Add eggs, beat until light brown.
- Add baking powder and cinnamon.
- Add flour and oats; mix well.
- Add raisins.
- Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls onto cookie sheets.
- Bake 20-25 min or until light golden brown.
- Let cool. Enjoy!
